Ghost Notes

Ghost Notes takes its title from the drum and bass technique of the same name: notes played at very low velocity, without accent or attack, tucked in among the snare and kick hits. In jazz and drum and bass alike, the technique is used to fill out a rhythm without drawing attention to itself, giving a beat more weight while staying out of the way of the lead hits.
