The Early Plates

The Early Plates is a 2008 compilation from 4hero, released through Reinforced, gathering early breakbeat, hardcore and drum & bass material from the duo's formative years. It traces the pair's roots before their later jazz and broken beat explorations, capturing the raw rave-era sound that helped shape the genre. A reference point for anyone tracing 4hero's evolution from the early UK hardcore scene into drum & bass proper.
