Bloc Party

Bloc Party formed in 1999, building toward wider recognition over the next five years. The band's first four albums featured bassist Gordon Moakes, who joined after answering an advert in NME, and drummer Matt Tong, who joined after an audition; both later left, with Tong departing mid-tour in 2013. Justin Harris of Portland, Oregon outfit Menomena stepped in on bass, and the current lineup is rounded out by Louise Bartle on drums and percussion and Harry Deacon on bass and synthesizer.
