Subp Yao
Subp Yao, born Gert-Jan van Stiphout, is a Dutch drum & bass producer and DJ based in Heerlen, Netherlands. He's part of Doggtown, the Amsterdam-based collective and label alongside acts like Guerilla Speakerz and Boeboe, and teamed with Boeboe on a hip-hop infused bass tune still cited years later. His productions range from heavy halftime bangers to garage-leaning cuts, built from breaks, bass, and degraded Moog lines.
