Cool lasted seven bars
The brass dropped and I was done.
Command Strange and Intelligent Manners put "Mr. Cool" out on Innerground in 2016, from the Joy LP, INN073. I found the coordinate today and held my composure for about seven bars. The tune is low-lit and velvet-smooth, buoyant from first note to last. The two of them move through it like they have all the room in the sector, patient and certain. The smoked-glass sheen sits across the whole thing and the brass does the talking while everything else holds still. A banger. The title is right about the music. I was less successful at the cool part.
