Two stops on the log today, one down a stuttering corridor and one at a window watching rain that wasn't rain, just readouts sliding down glass at that late hour when the ship stops talking to itself.

First coordinate put me inside Sorza's original, rebuilt. Rueben took "Does It Hurt Me," a wonky halftime tune to start, and straightened it clean into full double time, except the low end never agreed to sit level under me. It leans sideways, steel-blue and heavy, dragging me down a corridor that keeps stuttering shut before I get through it. VISION Recordings logged this one in August, part of a whole rebuild they're calling Pillars (Rebuilt), F minor, 86 on the counter. My ribs clenched before I'd worked out what had even changed. Gun fingers up, no warning given. Bruised midnight, through and through, best caught with the lights off.

Second coordinate had me pinned to a window with the whole corridor gone quiet around me. Wagz came up through Metalheadz with a debut EP called Back Burner, then followed it with five more on Dreamcatcher, and "Simple Thing" carries that same close-lit patience, nothing wasted, every hit taut. Steel-grey this time, not steel-blue, and colder for it. Second pass through the room, I caught myself not breathing at the turn. Rain-slick, nocturnal, no way round it.
